10th Annual Polish American Heritage Month Art Contest
This year, The Polish Museum of America is sponsoring the 10th Annual Polish American Heritage Month Art Contest. The topic is “Exhibiting Our Polish Heritage.” Students from kindergarten to grade 12 can participate by creating a pictorial exhibit on Polish Heritage. Examples are: Polish Folk Art, Polish Folk Costumes, famous Polish artists, writers, scientists, movie stars or famous Polish buildings or sculptures found in Poland or the United States. Any art medium is welcome – we encourage all participants to be creative and colorful. The size of the artworks should be poster-size, but no larger than 14 inches by 22 inches.
Prizes: 1st - $100, 2nd - $75, 3rd - $50, Honorable Mention - $25
The deadline for entries is Friday, September 26, 2008.
Prizes will be awarded in four grade categories: K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 at the Polish American Heritage Program on Sunday, October 12, 2008, at 1PM in the Great Hall of The Polish Museum of America. We cordially invite everyone to attend!
All entries will become the property of the PMA and will be on display in the Great Hall during the month of October.
