On Saturday January 10th, The Polish Museum of America had the honor of hosting a tour for Tadeusz Antoniak, Supreme Commander of the Polish American Veterans Association (PAVA) and Chairman of the Smolensk Disaster Commemoration Committee (SDCC), Jacek Szklarski, Vice-Commander of the PAVA’s Post Nr.10 and Treasurer of the SDCC, Bożena Dzwon, II Vice-President of the Women’s Auxiliary Corps at PAVA , Aneta Antoniak, Board Member of the SDCC, and Tomasz Dąbrowski, Vice-Commander of the PAVA’s Post Nr.90 in Chicago. PMA President Richard Owsiany welcomed the group and spoke of the beginnings of the PMA. Later on, tour guide Sergio Romero led the distinguished guests in their visit, guiding them through the museum, with a special emphasis on artifacts that carry a special significance to the PAVA, like the Polish Falcons of America uniform, the documents belonging to veterans of the Polish Blue Army, and different object in the Paderewski Room.
The PMA is very thankful and honored by their visit, hoping to continue cooperating closely with PAVA in the future.

W sobotę 10 stycznia Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce miało zaszczyt gościć Tadeusza Antoniaka, naczelnego komendanta Stowarzyszenia Weteranów Armii Polskiej (SWAP) i przewodniczącego Komitetu Obchodów Rocznicy Katastrofy Smoleńskiej i Ludobójstwa Katyńskiego (SDCC), Jacka Szklarskiego, wicekomendanta okręgu Nr 10 SWAP i skarbnika SDCC, Bożenę Dzwon, II wiceprezeskę Korpusu Pomocniczego Pań przy SWAP, Anetę Antoniak, członkinię komitetu SDCC oraz Tomasza Dąbrowskiego, wicekomendanta Okręgu Nr 90 SWAP w Chicago. Prezes MPA, Richard Owsiany przywitał grupę i opowiedział o początkach MPA. Przewodnik Sergio Romero oprowadzał wybitnych gości po muzeum, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem artefaktów o szczególnym znaczeniu dla SWAP, takich jak mundur Sokolstwa Polskiego w Ameryce, dokumenty należące do weteranów Armii Polskiej we Francji oraz eksponatów w Pokoju Paderewskiego. 

MPA jest zaszczycone tą wizytą, mamy nadzieję na dalszą bliską współpracę ze SWAP | PAVA w przyszłości.
