In Poland, Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s Day are celebrated on January 21 and 22 – days to honor those who carry memory, tradition and lived history.
Grandparents are often the first storytellers as well as nourishers of language, customs, and values, passed quietly from one generation to the next. Through their experiences, family histories become part of a larger cultural heritage.
On this special day, the Polish Museum of America pays tribute to all Grandmothers and Grandfathers whose lives, work, and wisdom continue to shape our communities and preserve the richness of Polish heritage for future generations.
