COMMEMORATING the 75th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

Chicago, IL -- The Polish Museum of America (PMA) invites you to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

The event will begin on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at 4:00 pm at the PMA (984 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60642), with a tour of the 75th Anniversary Exhibit of Warsaw Uprising, presenting items from PMA Collections and the private collection of Marek Rowicki, as prepared by Marek Rowicki and Jan Lorys.

At 5:00 pm, we will commemorate the “W” hour.

Selections from the documentary film, “Warsaw Uprising” directed by Paul Grajnert and Jan Lorys will be screened. Music performance by Vechi Acum.

Admission is $10; PMA members (membership card required) - $8
Seniors, scouts, students and children – free admission.
Light appetizers, cash bar.

Chicago, IL - Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce (MPA) zaprasza w swoje progi na uroczystość obchodów 75. rocznicy Wybuchu Powstania Warszawskiego.

Uroczystość rozpocznie się we czwartek 1 sierpnia 2019 roku o godz. 16:00 w MPA (984 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60642) zwiedzaniem wystawy przygotowanej przez Marka Rowickiego i Jana Lorysia. Następnie o godz. 17:00 minutą ciszy upamiętnimy godzinę W. W programie ponadto fragmenty filmu dokumentalnego z wywiadami z uczestnikami powstania (autorstwa Pawła Grajnerta i Jana Lorysia). Występ zespołu Vechi Acum. Wystawa potrwa do 5 września.

Wstęp – 10 $.
Dla członków PMA (wymagana karta członkowska) – 8$,
Seniorzy, harcerze, dzieci i młodzież – wstęp wolny.

Great Hall

Sabina P. Logisz Great Hall was originally designed as the auditorium for the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America headquarters. In 1939, it was adapted for the needs of the Museum. The center space of the Great Hall presents rotating temporary exhibitions of documentary and historical content, as well as art and artists, both local and international.
