“Painting Chopin,” hosted by Patricia Stepniak Art Studio in collaboration with the Sounds and Notes Foundation, is a long-standing and integral part of the Chopin in the City Festival. Created specifically for this festival, the event brings together artists and musicians to celebrate art, music, and the legacy of Fryderyk Chopin on the occasion of his birthday.
Each year, dozens of artists come together to paint live while music is performed, creating works inspired by Chopin’s compositions. Members of the public are warmly invited to observe and take part in this creative experience.
The musical program will feature Konrad Pawełek with the Polish Orchestra of Chicago.
The event will be hosted by internationally acclaimed vocalist Grażyna Auguścik, with the visual arts portion led by artist Patricia Stepniak.
The Polish Museum of America is pleased to once again host this special event, which brings together music, visual art, and community in celebration of one of Poland’s greatest composers.
