Polish Imagination - The World of Tomorrow

Polish Pavilion at the 1939-1940 New York World’s Fair

Exhibition Sponsorship Opportunities

The looming clouds of war were nearing in 1939. But Poland held onto its optimism at the World’s Fair in New York City, themed “The World of Tomorrow.” The optimism and hope presented at the Polish Pavilion showcased the finest Poland offered in the arts, crafts, agriculture, sciences, and commerce. With the outbreak of World War II the artifacts presented at the Polish Pavilion could not return to Poland. Many of the Pavilion artifacts were acquired by the Polish Museum of America. 2019 marks the 80th Anniversary of the New York World’s Fair.

Polish Imagination - The World of Tomorrow opens Friday, October 11, 2019.
