On January 12, 2026, the Polish Museum of America commemorates the 89th anniversary of the official opening to the public, which took place on January 12, 1937, in the PRCUA Auditorium.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Polish government and Polish-American organizations. In his address, Joseph Kania, President of the PRCUA, emphasized that the Archives and the Museum were created to serve the entire Polish community, safeguarding its most precious memorabilia for future generations.
These words continue to guide the Museum’s mission. For 89 years, the Polish Museum of America has preserved, protected, and shared the story of Polish heritage in the United States – for today and for generations to come.

12 stycznia 2026 roku, Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce upamiętnia 89. rocznicę swojego oficjalnego otwarcia dla publiczności, które miało miejsce 12 stycznia 1937 roku w Audytorium Zjednoczenia Polskiego Rzymsko-Katolickiego w Ameryce (ZPRKA).
W uroczystości uczestniczyli przedstawiciele rządu polskiego oraz liczne organizacje polonijne.
