On August 14, 2025, the Polish Museum of America had the pleasure of hosting the presentation “From the Vistula to the St. Lawrence River, All the Way to Lake Michigan” by Stefan Władysiuk, librarian at the Polish Library in Montreal. His richly illustrated talk explored the extraordinary Polish Graphic Art Collection from the 1939 New York World’s Fair, preserved by the Polish Library in Montreal.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Stefan Władysiuk and the Polish Library in Montreal for generously lending us these beautiful works, shown in Chicago for the very first time, as part of our 100 Years of Polish Sailing exhibition.

The sailing- and marine-themed prints from Montreal were on view for their final day during this event, while the remainder of the exhibition continues at the PMA through the end of August 2025. We warmly invite everyone to visit before it closes.

14 sierpnia 2025 r., Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce miało zaszczyt gościć prezentację „Od Wisły przez Rzekę Świętego Wawrzyńca aż po Jezioro Michigan” wygłoszoną Stefana Władysiuka, bibliotekarza Biblioteki Polskiej w Montrealu. Jego bogato ilustrowany wykład przybliżył niezwykłą Kolekcję Polskiej Grafiki z Wystawy Światowej w Nowym Jorku w 1939 r., przechowywaną w zbiorach Biblioteki Polskiej w Montrealu.

Składamy serdeczne podziękowania Stefanowi Władysiukowi oraz Bibliotece Polskiej w Montrealu za życzliwe wypożyczenie tych pięknych dzieł polskiej grafiki – po raz pierwszy prezentowanych w Chicago – w ramach naszej wystawy 100 lat polskiego żeglarstwa.

Grafiki o tematyce morskiej i żeglarskiej z Montrealu można było oglądać po raz ostatni podczas tego wydarzenia, a pozostala część wystawy będzie można zobaczyć w MPA do końca sierpnia 2025 r. Serdecznie zapraszamy!
