Bitwa pod Falaise (sierpień 1944):
Stoczona przez 1 Dywizję Pancerną generała Maczka, bitwa miała ogromne znaczenie strategiczne, przyczyniając się do pomyślnego lądowania wojsk alianckich w Normandii.

Bitwa pod Arnhem (wrzesień 1944):
Bitwa z udziałem Samodzielnej Brygady Spadochronowej dowodzonej przez gen. Sosabowskiego miała na celu przełamanie frontu w Holandii w ramach większej operacji o kryptonimie Market Garden. Do celów należało zdobycie mostów na Mozie, Waal i Renie, tworząc bazę do operacji w głębi Niemiec.

The Battles of Falaise and Arnhem hold significant historical importance, and on this special occasion, the Polish Museum of America and the 10th Dragoons Regiment aim to honor the valor and sacrifices of those who participated in these pivotal moments of World War II.
Highlights of the Event:
Historical reenactment that will focus on two significant battles fought by distinct Polish military formations:
The Battle of Falaise (August 1944):
Fought by the 1st Armored Division under General Maczek, the battle held a great strategic importance, contributing to the successful landing of Allied troops in Normandy. You will learn why the Germans referred to the soldiers of this formation as "Black Devils" since 1939.
The Battle of Arnhem (September 1944):
Involving the Independent Parachute Brigade led by General Sosabowski, this battle aimed at breaking the front in the Netherlands, as part of the larger operation codenamed Market Garden.
Objectives included capturing bridges on the Meuse, Waal, and Rhine, creating a base for operations deep into Germany.
Educational Presentations: Engage in informative presentations by members of the 10th Dragon Regiment, offering insights into the battles, the historical context, and the roles played by Polish soldiers. Witness captivating living history displays featuring authentic equipment, uniforms, and artifacts from the Battles of Falaise and Arnhem, meticulously recreated by the 10th Dragon Regiment.
