This summer, the Polish Museum of America was pleased to welcome Olivia Rozowicz and Jacob Czechyra as interns. In addition to their work with the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, they also had the opportunity to intern at the PMA, where they gained hands-on experience in the fields of heritage and museum work.
As part of their time at the Museum, Olivia and Jacob met our staff, learned about the history of the PMA building, and explored the rich collections of historic Polish artifacts. They also toured the Rare Book Archive and worked with rare and fragile documents from the PMA Library.
Their internship included digitizing and scanning important historical materials, supporting our preservation and archival efforts.

Tego lata Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce z radością gościło Olivię Rozowicz i Jacoba Czechyrę jako stażystów. Oprócz pracy w Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, odbyli również staż w MPA, zdobywając cenne doświadczenie w pracy muzealnej i w pracy związanej z ochroną dziedzictwa kulturowego.
Podczas pobytu w Muzeum Olivia i Jacob poznali nasz zespół, zapoznali się z historią budynku MPA oraz odkryli bogate zbiory polskich artefaktów. Odwiedzili także Archiwum Rzadkich Książek i pracowali z unikatowymi dokumentami z Biblioteki MPA.
W ramach stażu zajmowali się digitalizacją i skanowaniem cennych materiałów historycznych, wspierając nasze działania na rzecz ich zachowania i uporządkowania.
