Exploring the Enigmatic World of Čiurlionis’ Paintings

The Polish Museum of America staff had the pleasure of visiting the Lithuanian Youth Center today to experience an immersive VR animation based on the paintings by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis.

Čiurlionis, a true Renaissance man – being a painter, composer and a writer, has left a profound imprint not only on the Lithuanian culture but also European art in general. Čiurlionis has special ties to Poland – the artist studied at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and wrote primarily in Polish.
Special thanks to Viktorija Cernicenko from the Lithuanian Youth Center and Vitalijus Zukas, the creative producer of the film, for providing us with this opportunity. Vitalijus Zukas, just like the artist himself, speaks Polish, reminding us of our shared history with Lithuania.
We invite you to the Lithuanian Youth Center to explore the enigmatic world of Čiurlionis’ paintings. The exhibit closes May 31 – buy your tickets now! (trailofangels.net)
