Welcoming the Kashubian Cultural Institute to Chicago
We recently welcomed Jeff Turkowski, Director of the Kashubian Cultural Institute & Polish Museum in Winona, MN, along with Polish-American students preparing for a cultural exchange trip to Poland. With guidance from Beata Pawlikowska, the group explored the museum’s collection and shared in a meaningful celebration of heritage.
National Museum in Warsaw Delegation at PMA
On February 22, 2025, the Polish Museum of America had the honor of hosting a delegation of specialists from the National Museum in Warsaw, organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
Remembering Witold Gombrowicz: A Literary Pioneer
On July 25, we commemorate the death anniversary of Witold Gombrowicz, one of Poland’s most prolific writers-in-exile. Born on August 4, 1904, Gombrowicz passed away in Vence, France, on July 25, 1969. A novelist, playwright, and essayist, he remains one of the most exceptional figures in the history of literature.
