Farewell to our Arts Intern Nia | PMA
Nia Oke-Famakinde is completing her Arts Internship at the Polish Museum of America, cataloging artifacts and artworks to expand the museum's database. She also handles acquisition duties, conducts research, and assists with organizing events and exhibitions.
The Polish Museum of America recently met with Erica Griffin, the director of education at the Chicago History Museum, to discuss partnership opportunities for the CHM's exhibition project, Back/Home: Polish Chicago. During the meeting, the PMA staff and CHM explored various strategies for school programs and public and community engagement.

The official opening of the Museum took place exactly 86 years ago!
86 years ago today, the Museum opened its doors for the first time in the PRCUA Auditorium. Dignitaries from the Polish government, Polish-American organizations, and Chicago officials were all in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion!
