PMA Bids Farewell to Consul Piotr Semeniuk

On August 23, 2021, The Polish Museum of America and the Polish Teachers Association hosted a farewell reception for Consul Piotr Semeniuk and his wife Leonarda Semeniuk.

Consul Semeniuk is leaving Chicago for a new assignment in Poland. The reception was attended by representatives of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, Polish Scouting Organization, Educators in Polonia, Tatra Foundation, Alliance of Polish Clubs, directors of the various Polish Saturday Schools, consular staff and friends.
During Consul Semeniuk's tour of duty in Chicago, he established closer ties between many Polonian organizations and the Polish Consulate, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the PMA, Consul Semeniuk was one of our cherished ambassadors who always promoted the Polish Museum of America. He encouraged Polish-Americans as well as the multitude of visitors from Poland to visit and support the PMA. He also assisted the PMA in receiving grants for several exhibits at the PMA. We will miss Consul Semeniuk and his wife and wish him success in his new assignment.
