Celebrating 87 Years of Rich Polish Heritage at the PMA!

Founded on October 15, 1935, by the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America (PRCUA), the museum has stood as a testament to the resilience and pride of the Polish-American community.

Over the decades, it has become a hub for connecting generations, bridging the gap between the old and the new, and preserving the rich tapestry of Polish culture. At the helm of this cultural institution was our first curator, Mieczyslaw Haiman, whose passion and dedication played a pivotal role in shaping the museum's identity.

The museum boasts an extensive collection that captures the essence of Poland's art, history, and traditions. From priceless artifacts to thought-provoking exhibits, the museum has a lot to offer, including art galleries, featuring masterpieces from renowned painters and sculptors; historical exhibits, from its medieval origins to the struggle for independence and contributions to global events; cultural treasures showcasing Polish traditions and folklore such as costumes, folk art, and intricate crafts that showcase the diversity within the Polish culture; Archives and Libraries, our treasure trove of knowledge housing a wealth of documents, books, and manuscripts that provide a deep understanding of Poland's past; educational programs designed to foster a greater understanding of Polish heritage.

As we celebrate 87 years of preserving and promoting Polish heritage, we invite you to be a part of our journey. Visit the Polish Museum of America, explore the exhibits, and connect with the stories that have shaped generations.

Thank you for being a part of our history and helping us continue the legacy of the Polish Museum of America! Here's to many more years of celebrating and preserving the vibrant Polish-American experience.
