During the annual Pulaski Day Commemoration on March 4, 2019 at the Polish Museum of America, President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, awarded state distinctions to the president and three employees of Polish Museum of America.

January 15, 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the death of Mieczyslaw Haiman (1888-1949) – historian of Polonia, pioneer researcher on Polish emigration in the United States (17th-19th centuries), and discoverer of its early history.
