Trailing Kościuszko in America | Ślady Kościuszki w Ameryce

The basis of this video presentation is to commemorate the bicentennial of the death of Tadeusz Kościuszko, a hero of two countries. He was first honored personally by George Washington for his military deeds. Kosciuszko received many honors for his selfless dedication to freedom and liberty by the United States Government as well as by the cadets at West Point.
The influx of Polish immigrants and exiles gave birth to a frenzy of dedicated statues of Kosciuszko in cities with large Polish populations. Between 1904 and 1927 eight statues were dedicated to Kosciuszko. Each statue found in the U.S. is a testament to Kosciuszko and the high esteem Americans hold of him as a Revolutionary War hero.

A longer version of this presentation has been given in Kraków, Warszawa and Chicago by Jan Lorys, PMA Historian.
