Of the 4,000 Poles who joined the Northern armies, many had military experience in Europe. This included General Włodzimierz Krzyzanowski, who fought in the failed military expedition and insurrection of 1846 and escaped to America.

Exploring the Enigmatic World of Čiurlionis’ Paintings
The Polish Museum of America staff visited the Lithuanian Youth Center to experience an immersive VR animation based on Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis' paintings. Čiurlionis has special ties to Poland and the exhibit closes on May 31.
CHM Meeting
The Polish Museum of America recently met with Erica Griffin, the director of education at the Chicago History Museum, to discuss partnership opportunities for the CHM's exhibition project, Back/Home: Polish Chicago.
