On April 18 we commemorate a significant milestone in our history—the ceremonial opening of the PMA Library in 1915. Blessed by Father Jan Obyrtacz, this institution has been a beacon of Polish literature and culture for over a century.
108th Library’s Anniversary
The PMA Library has been serving the Chicago Polish community since 1915. It holds over 100,000 books in English and Polish, including circulating titles, Polonica, Polish American publishers, Rare Books, and a musical collection.
